Lawyer Appeals Turkish Hijab Ban

A Turkish lawyer, Aslan Alpaslan, today opened fire on a group of prominent judges, seriously wounding four and killing one. These were no ordinary judges and this was no ordinary murder. These were judges who abused their positions as upholders of justice to oppress Muslim sisters who chose to obey their Lord, their Creator, the King of Kings and not the democratic idols of today. These were judges who stripped our Turkish sisters of their protective garments in an attempt to portray Turkey as a civilized, modern, democratic nation.

Finally, one courageous lawyer, may Allah protect him, decided to take action and send at least one of the judges to face His Maker in the Ultimate Court of Appeal. The decision here will be final!

Are you serious?

How, in any way, will this advance the cause of Muslim women in Turkey who wear the hijab to live dignified lives?

I agree, its an extreme reaction. But its an extreme reaction to an extremely oppressive situation.

Muslim women in Turkey have been arrested, beaten and tortured in custody for daring to wear hijab. There plight was not getting any better - sometimes it takes an extreme reaction to bring attention to their situation.

Amazingly, many Muslims not only are unaware of the Turkish hijab ban but go far as to deny it exists.
