Freedom American-Style

I apologise about the gruesome image but this is the brutal reality of Iraq today. May Allah accept all those who were killed as martyrs and grant them the highest station in Paradise. For these children, their nightmare is over and they are with their Creator in true freedom. For the Iraqi people they leave behind, the nightmare has once again begun.

In fact, it never ended. It has always been consistent, never-ending, ongoing. The only thing that stopped was news of atrocities such as those we have learned of in recent days. Haditha, Ishaqi, Samarra - how many hundreds of such incidents take place every month while we sit in the comfort of our homes and laugh and joke and claim to be doing our utmost for the Ummah.

Out of sight, out of mind.

In just a few days, the World Cup will begin and attention will again be diverted from Iraq and onto the pitches and bars of Germany. Let us count the number of hours we will waste away slouching in front of the shaitaan-box going through pre-match and post-match analysis as we suddenly morphose into football experts overnight. And we will still claim to be doing our utmost for the Ummah while we sit and moan of there just not being enough time. For the men, women and children of Iraq, there will be no World Cup - just weeks of unnoticed Hadithas and Ishaqis.

How difficult is it to teach people that shooting dead pregnant women and babies is wrong. These people are morally depraved and we pray that Allaah counts them one by one and destroys them.

"O Allaah Revealer of the Book, Recompenser of the Final account, Destroyer of the confederates. O Most Powerful, O Most Magnificent! O Allaah, verily we ask you to disperse the enemy's gunfire upon our warriors and to shake the ground from beneath their feet and strike terror into their hearts.
O Allaah, cripple their support and blind their vision and send upon them decay and disease.
O Allaah, divide them against one another and disperse their unity and strike heavy discord amongst their ranks, and make them flee to their destruction, and show us from amongst your wonders and strength that you mete out to them, and make an example of them for those who are heedless.
O Allaah quicken their defeat and make their wealth war booty for the Muslims."
O Allaah grant aid and victory to our brothers, the Mujahideen, and unite their ranks and bring them together upon the word of truth.
O Allaah, direct their aim and strengthen their support, and make them steadfast and send upon them your tranquillity and heal their hearts and guide them to all that is good, and cause us who sit at home to join their ranks, O Answerer of supplications.
O Allaah, give them authority and rule, and aid them with your Army of the Heavens and the Earth, O Lord of the Worlds
